AWS Config Pay Per Use Pricing!

Today AWS announced that they are switching to a new, pay-per-use pricing model for AWS Config rules.
Effective August 1st, 2019 we will be charged based on the number of rule evaluations that we run each month!
Here is the new pricing for AWS Public Regions as supplied by AWS (in USD):
| Rule Evaluations Per Month | Price Per Evaluation |
| 0-100,000 | $0.0010 |
| 100,001-500,000 | $0.0008 |
| 500,001 and above | $0.0005 |
We will no longer pay for active config rules, which could grow costly when used across multiple accounts and regions.
Usual story for paying for configuration items recorded, and any additional costs such as use of S3 storage, SNS messaging, and the invocation of Lambda functions still apply.
