Ansible Playbooks using EC2 Systems Manager gets an upgrade

1 min read

Back in May 2017 AWS blogged about the ability to run ansible playbooks (here).

On the 24th of Sept 2019 they announced a new Systems Manager document that can be used in conjunction with either the Run command or the State Manager:

The value add here is that it now caters for: “execution of a series of playbooks that are zipped or stored in a directory structure on GitHub or Amazon S3”

Might have to have a play with this feature soon. If I do I will be sure to let you know my findings 🙂
